1. Which app this is
This page covers the DistributeIQ mobile app for Android, published by The Stack Hub Pvt Ltd, and the DistributeIQ web application at distributeiq.com. They share one account, so deleting your account removes your access to both.
DistributeIQ is used by distribution businesses. Accounts are created for you by your company's administrator rather than by signing up yourself, which is why the request below asks us to confirm who you are before we act on it.
2. How to request deletion
- Email admin@distributeiq.com with the subject “Account deletion request”.
- Include the name and the mobile number or email registered on the account, plus your company or distributor name. We need these to find the right account.
- Send it from the email address on the account where possible. If you signed in with a mobile number, send it from any address and we will call the registered number to confirm the request is genuinely yours.
- We confirm by reply once the account has been deleted. If we cannot verify that the request came from the account holder, we will tell you rather than delete anything.
We verify every request before acting on it. An account holds live orders, payments and stock for a business, so deleting one on an unverified request could disrupt a company that is still trading.
3. What is deleted
When we action your request, we remove:
- Your sign-in identity — the credentials used to access the app, so you can no longer log in on any device.
- Your email address and mobile number from the active account record.
- Your profile — name, role and brand assignments — which is deactivated so it no longer appears to your colleagues or in any list.
- Any location readings you recorded that are still awaiting review.
After this the account cannot be used to sign in, and your contact details are removed from it. If you are a distributor, the shop's own record — its trading address and KYC details — belongs to the business you trade with and is covered by section 4.
4. What is kept, and why
Some records cannot be erased on request, because Indian law requires the business that uses DistributeIQ to keep them:
- Invoices, ledgers and tax records — kept for the period required by Indian tax law, typically 8 years. These belong to the business you worked with, not to your personal account.
- Orders, deliveries and payments you handled — retained as part of that business's trading history.
- KYC records and identity documents held against a distributor — GSTIN, PAN, FSSAI, Shop Act and any uploaded documents — which are the trading business's compliance records. Ask us and we will tell you exactly what is held against a given shop, and remove anything not required to be kept.
- Audit logs — retained on a rolling basis for security, then removed.
- Backups — deletions reach our backups as they age out on their normal cycle, rather than immediately.
Where a record must be kept, we keep the business transaction, not a usable personal profile — your contact details are removed from the active account, and the record retains only the entry needed to make the books complete.
5. How long it takes
- We acknowledge your request within 7 days.
- We complete verified deletions within 30 days.
- After deletion we keep a minimal archived record of the account — enough to restore it if the deletion was a mistake, and to answer a dispute — for up to 90 days. Tell us you do not want that window and we will clear it straight away.
- Records covered by section 4 are kept for the periods stated there.
Tell us in your email if you want the account closed immediately and do not need the 90-day recovery window.
6. Deleting some data only
You do not have to delete your whole account. Email the same address and tell us what you want removed — for example your mobile number, or location readings you recorded. We will remove what we can and tell you plainly if something must be kept under section 4.
